Null Modem Help
I'm trying to upload all my old ATARI 800 disk files to my AMIGA. I have an
ATARI XM301 (300 BAUD) Modem on the ATARI side, and an AVATEX 1200 (at 300
BAUD) on the AMIGA side. Using EXPRESS 2.1 software on the ATARI and TERM PLUS
2.1 on the AMIGA, if I initiate the call from the AMIGA, the ATARI acknowledges
and sends a message that appears on the AMIGA screen. I can type messages on
the AMIGA that appear on the ATARI's screen. But as soon as I try to transmit
a file from the ATARI side with the AMIGA in receive mode, the ATARI hangs up.
If I try to initiate the call from the ATARI with the AMIGA in answer mode, the
AMIGA won't answer or acknowledge the call. I'm fluent in 6502 Assembler and
CIO, and I know the AMIGA side less well, but progressing (I've got one running
68000 assembler program, and I can handle building structures in assembler or
BASIC). Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. Stephen MacKenzie, MD –
