Marvin rendered it with Sculpt-Animate 4D at home on his 68000 Amiga. Each frame took 1 hour and 15 minutes to render in full photo mode (complete with shadows). Previously SculptAnimate 3D had taken 9 hours to render each frame. In Marvin's case SculptAnimate 4D provided a 7 plus speed improvement over the older Sculpt 3D. Reports have indicated that Turbo Silver 3.0 was on the average about twice as fast as our original Sculpt 3D. Given Marvins 7+ times speed improvement, my math figures that in this case Sculpt-Animate 4D is now 3 times faster than Turbo Silver 3.0. W. Schreurs left me a message stating that he has a scene that rendered 8 times faster with Sculpt-Animate 4D while producing a much cleaner image. Note that these timings are from independent owners and not from Byte by Byte.
