ruce, Obviously, since I am here, I can't escape any of the consequences of the "push and pull" of building this project. My reasons for taking a rigid stance are twofold. One…to see to it that something gets done. Two…to take a solid, conservative stance in supo support of the Charter, in whatever form it is finally approved. You said you are reading it. Did you also read my opening comments requesting that people tell me what they would like to change and then we can vote on it? I asked for objections to specific Article, and specific line. Then we would set a referendum vote to change the charter to agree with what everyone wants. I am performing the role of City Clerk, trying to write down what everyone wants. The fact that I want the City to follow those specifications does not affect you if you want to change those rules. I am willing to wait much longer than a week now that people are looking at the charter. Is there a split in our community? You be the judge. If everyone reads and expresses their opinion on the charter, then no split has occured. I was beginning to believe that the Freedom fighters were here to throw out all we had done…the Survey came from messages on the forum. I did not invent them …I just tried to write them down as best I could. Still I am only a clerk and I am Very goal oriented. And I intend to ramain so. I am pulling for the City desired by the majority. But it has to have form and standards. It will soon, ibn in my opinion. Thanks. Sanford I did take a break, by the way, I took five minutes to drink some coffee.(g)
