DP III and Fantavion
Fantavision doesn't use anim files at all. Fantavison works with
"structured objects." When you save a Fantavision file, it contains
descriptions of the outlines of objects and whether they are filled. When
you reload the file, it reconstructs the picture from these outline
descriptions. Moving points on the outline is what enables the program to
do tweening. Only the key frames are saved in the file; the rest are
calculated as the file is displayed.
thousands of little dots, each of which can have its own colour from the
available palette. If a conversion utility existed, it would have to look
at your DPaint frames and trace outlines around each group of
identically-coloured pixels. This would likely be very impractical as 1
picture could contain thousands of such groups of objects.
