Hi Tim – Actually, my message sounded a little snotty when you played it back to me. Oh well. My feeling is that in audio you pretty well get what you pay for. I prefer balanced feeds (more than 10-15 of cable with an unbalanced feed is asking for trouble) which pretty well limits you to professional equipment. The only thing I can say is that my Sennheiser's and Shures (actually, my Azden wirelesses also) have worked perfectly from day one. The 3 RS mikes I have owned (all electret condensors) broke quickly. The Shure dynamics (the stick mikes you frequently see on the TV news) are work horses. It's been said that you can hammer nails with them. Although I've never tried that. We do not hammer nails with our Sennheiser's <BG>. Bob
