john Thanks for the response. Actually my capture is very good quality even after I immediately play it back. My capture settings for other members to note are as follows: 1) Normal Capture= 30FPS,and audio @ 22KHZ and 16 bit stereo. 2) FORMAT=Full 320X240,,0 croping,,MJPEG Compression,,Auto Quality Control is on,,Datarate=600 or 700 and JPEG quality is at 100 3) Video Compression=No Compression 4) Video Source= S video,,MPEG filter is on,,all other settings are at DEFAULT. I save the file to my Micropolis AV drive and when I open the file later on the full screen 30FPS playback is about as good as my capture. It is approx VHS quality and I am pleased with it. My problem and displeasure is when I have used the same exact clip to Construct a Project and then select Make Movie. The resulting movie I make has poor picture quality and is jerky. The quality is certainly far from the saved capture file quality. Am I doing something wrong? What are the best Project Options you have used when you Make Movie? What are your specific settings? Do you make an AVI movie? (I do) What compression method do you select? What data rate do you use? What level do you set your Temporal Quality Ratio at? Any other things you do? If I could get better quality during the Make Movie It would Print to Video (Transfer to VCR tape) at a higher quality. Look forward to your response and assistance. Thanks Arnie
