Hi, Jim–
The ersatz fort is flimsy, and they might have added a papier-mache rock here
and there for any given scene, but Vasquez Rocks has lots of picturesque rocks
that a geologist would have no complaint about.
I see in my mind's eye a wild bighorn sheep leaping gracefully from rock to
rock, then … whoops, a left-over prop!
