I did get a few answers and a few scratches on the head.
I called CATS today.
In case you folks were not aware, Kathy Godfrey is the contact person at
Commodore for bugs in AmigaVision. John Campbell is her immediate
supervisor, (in charge of the AmigaVision 2.0 project with IMSATT) though
not part of the original beta test team for AmigaVision, I did give
Commodore several bug reports (large long letters) about AmigaVision 1.31.
Have I mentioned I love this software?
Kathy said she thought the bug with the variables dissapearing from the
read/write icon had been squashed in 1.53g (the current release), and that
she had not heard of a problem with sudden aborts of AmigaVision flows. I
am trying to document it a bit better and see if I can cause it to happen.
According to Kathy, Commodore is working closely with several developers
that are busy creating courseware with AmigaVision. Support of these
'commercial developers' seem to have priority. Perhaps they are working on
CDTV applications? Kathy in the past mentioned that AmigaVision is proving
to be a exellent vehicle for development with CDTV.
Further Commodore has now instituted a 900 number for *support* of the
AmigaVision product (hey guys.. I told you this months ago, no one wanted
to believe me :-)) I will get the number if any one is interested, it is
$5 an hour. Rumor continues to have it that this 900 number plan will
spread.
On other fronts, this Friday the regional sales reps are meeting with
"selected" dealers to talk about "future directions" of the Amiga line of
computers. More on this as it develops. This meeting is in Reston
Virginia.
On the Quarterback Tools problem, the makers have released two bug fixes
since the initial release. The current release is 1.2. There *is* a
problem with earlier version in disk corruption!
I saw that list, I *may* have it around somewhere. I shall have a look

Personally, I have not seen much use for the FFS on floppies, it gives
