You should be able to type the file's name and the program will execute.
What were you trying to type?
If you're getting read/write errors on your disks, it's possible that
you're popping the disks out of the drives too quickly. You've got to wait
until the light on the drive goes out before ejecting the disk.
The (x) means the message has been read by that person.
