Jacquie –
From your message, I get the impression that you were downloading LHARC.EXE
from CompuServe. If that's the case, try doing it again. (I thought you
were actually extracting with LHARC when you Gurued.) You can't do much
else until you get LHARC. What terminal program are you using to download?
2000s come with a megabyte, so you should have enough memory to run the
program once we get it on disk for you. 🙂
If you should Guru again while downloading, keep track of when it happened
and what the program told you it was doing. Then, send another message. I
will e-mail you a copy of the program (or a similar one) that I know is
good. If you get the download successfully, go right on to the next steps.
(You should have Whap! extracted by the next message, with luck.)
Since you only have 2 floppies on a stock 2000, a directory utility will be
handy in setting up the Whap: disk. If you can download, get the one
called SID from the disk utilities library. (Sorry, I don't recall the
exact filename.) You will need LHARC to extract that as well, but the
procedure is the same as outlined in my earlier message.
I'm working on a project at the moment, but I'll check in every few hours
to see if you need any help. Good luck!
