You're absolutely right Jim. The only problem is, I was under a major misunderstanding. I thought that the answer to the Toaster/2000S problem (ie, you can only use one thing in the slot at a time) was to buy an external genlock- hence you could do Toaster things when you wanted to and normal things through the external genlock when you wanted to. But I've been told that there can only be one genlock in the system at a time, so regardless of whether it is good or not (as a standard genlock), if you equip an Amiga with a Toaster, that's the only genlock you can have!! Now, according to the people I've spoken with, that's ok, since once you touch Toaster software, I'm told that you get this uncontrollable urge to contribute every software program you've ever used on the Amiga (at least those in the video-titling-3d-paint domain) out the window. Now, whether or not that really happens is still to be seen, but anyways, the bottom line is, if I'm going to buy a Toaster, then there's no reason to buy another genlock and I'll use that money towards a TBC for the Toaster, plus a larger disk, faster disk interface and more memory-all absolute requirements if you plan to do anything serious with the Toasterall according to my sources. The sources are pretty good though. One just came back from Toaster training in Topeka, so I assume he knows what he's talking about. RB
