Gordon, I have had no problems with my Insider and the Insider II from DKB is a good deal, 'cept that you've got to get in under the hood of your amiga (no soldering though) – plus it has the clock built-in (do you have, need one ?). The Starboard is a very nice system, I have a friend with one – one of the mail-order houses in this month's AmigaWorld had it bare for $184, the chips to populate it to 1M would be 32 of the 256Kx1 type at about $1.35-1.75 each or about $48/meg. I have seen daughterboard for the next meg for $45 and the SCSI controller for $100. I NOW have a Xetec which is based on their SCSI controller, for $175 but which allows a nice inexpensive Ramboard add-on for $85 and expands carries either 2MB OR 4MB using the SIMM chips which cost me $43 per MB. The extra RAM is very nice but I strongly advise keeping an eye on the hard-disk option(s) as well, which mitigate toward the Xetec (IMHO). – da
