There's a file over in AtariArts forum that has all the popular ST
formats explained. You're not going to like Spectrum format much – they
choose between 3 different palettes per scan line to get the 512 colors on
screen at once. It's quite invloved, which is one of the reasone I didn't
include it in my program here (PICCHG.LZH, not sure which library) that
converts Degas/Degas Elite, NEOChrome, and Tiny to IFF. One of these days I
might get brave enough to try it … Anyway, I'm not sure which library in
AtariArts it is, but go over there, list the library names (with LN) and
choose one that sounds right 8^). That's what I did. And good luck on the
conversion program.
