Bruce, I found soon after I bought my HD a couple of years ago that it was definitely _NOT_ a good idea to boot with a non-bootable floppy in df0:. When asked about it, my dealer replied, "Why would you even _think_ it would work." Figuring that I was beating a dead horse, I just started ejecting my floppies before booting the machine. It's a bad situation for a system that must run unattended, but I know of no other solution. I wanted to let you know that the problem is not unique to the particular HD setup that you have, since I don't have a Supra HD. I suppose that if you need to run a system unattended, the best bet would be to create a minimal boot floppy for df0: and not use autoboot. I'll be following the thread to see if there really is a solution for the problem. David
