arnie I sent you NeuroPro and BarPro/A last week by post. You should have gotten them by now. There is a little OCR example on the NeuroPro disk (uses 10 Topaz8 characters, has trained network on disk, and also has 'dirtied up' versions of same bit patterns showing network can recognize deliberately noisy inputs). The OCR example is based on hand-feeding NeuroPro the patterns on an 8×8 grid (NeuroPro can handle up to 64 neurons on each of 3 layers with a total of up to 8192 connections). engine but I haven't done it. Look to expand Ne neuropro could be integrated into some larger OCR engine but I haven't done it. look to expand NPro up to 16×16 grid capability in the future. Current program quite interesting as you can design your own training pairs and input data as simple ASCII HEX text files of up to 4096 entries. Try it. Look forward to mention in Amiga+. Nice seeing Nat at AmiExpo (MegageM had a booth for the first time!) and sorry you couldn't be there to celebrate MegageM's first public appearance. Nice booth, too. Showed CellPro, NeuroPro and BarPro (including hardware and printing bar codes to attach to peoples' badges). BarProA on its way to you can print and IFF-save 10 different types of bar codes. Now working with data base programs to permit scanning hardware to interface with DB prog and call up file records on screen for POS applications.
