Hi Ho:
I have been having a great time with Imagine 0.9. I can't wait for
1.0 to arrive. I heard it's to start shipping today, is it true, and if so
will it take the same amount of time to receive it as it did 0.9 ( in other
words have you reorganized your shipping department)? Last time it took
three weeks after they started shipping. Oh well, I can hope can't I?
The main question I have is, and I hope this is coherent: I have
just created a logo animation for a client. It is the word "STAR" and
between the "S" and the "T" there is a little flat star that should spin,
kind'a like a gas station sign. It is only 15 frames. Sounds real simple,
right?
I load the objects in to Stage, then go to the Action Editor (
which needs a "cut & paste", and a "print script" feature) find STAR, add
a 14 frame time bar to the Align line and tell it to rotate 180 degrees in
the Z axis, and go back to Stage to make the test animation. When I play it
back the star rotates, yes, BUT it orbits away from it's own axis.
I have tried to recreate the star from scratch. Same results. Any
body have a clue what I could be doing wrong, or a simpler way to achive
the same effect. I have tried interactive editing too.
Thanx Brad Hayes
