It's not the Amiga that you have to tell the NFS disk is writable, it's the
system that you're mounting from. There's a file which I *think* is
called /etc/exports (I can't remember off the top of my head…I mess with
that file about once a year) which sets up the permissions the remote users
have when mounting the partition, which hosts can mount the partition, etc.
It sounds like the particular partition you're trying to mount is
read-only. Try changing the read-only to read-write, and restart your NFS
daemon on the UNIX side before trying to mount the filesystem on your
Amiga.
