Lee, "…the service bureaus are not particularly enthusiastic about the Amiga…" The 'typical' service bureau is not particularly enthusiastic about anything other than Mac application files. Of course there are scattered execptions. This is a shame and is an ironic twist to the way that Adobe envisioned the 'PostScript World.' It was originally intended by Adobe that the PostScript output file would become the common denominator in all PostScript related file activity. Such is not the case except with the most knowlegable of bureaus. The various Mac application native file formats get sent from desktop to service bureau, and the typical customer expects the bureau to open the file, make adjustments, as necessary, and then output to the imagesetter, film recorder, or whatever. I have dealt with service bureaus who had no idea what to do with my PostScript (ASCII) file. Find a service bureau which will accept MSDOS disks. Use CrossDos to format an MSDOS disk, give them your PostScript file on such a disk, archived with LHARC, if necessary to get it on the disk. If they can't handle the job, including de-arcing on their end with LHA.EXE, find another service bureau. You go your way . . . I'll go Maui Rich 😉
