Well Carl, Amiga 1000s are not necessarily outdated but I believe you would be better off buying a Amiga 500 or Amiga 2000. The reason being that the 500 and 2000 have a broader support base and more third party vendors to purchase equipment from. Their are several worthy machines (both 2000 and 500s), cheap too, that sell in this very forum you left you message (ie: AMIGAUSER – messages – #17 Classifieds). The going prices on a used 500 are anywhere from $175 – 350, while the 2000s range from $650 – 2,500 depending on their configuration (ie: if they come with hard drive, bridgeboard, Moniter, etc). To get a good look at the classified section (if you already haven't done so) set your MESSAGE AGE to ALL, I believe its selection #3 after you have selected MESSAGES from the main menu. This will allow you to see some of the most recent 500 and 2000 sales that I believe you would be interested in. <<== Shawn ==>>
