James: As the author of MIfont, perhaps I'm the guy you're looking for.:) MIfont will convert any Mac PostScript bitmap screen font into a standard Amiga bitmap font, plus create a PPage metric file for each font. Naturally, these are not scalable outlines like CG fonts (though PPage will scale the bitmaps on the fly to whichever pointsize you call for). As well, it will convert your Mac OR IBM Type 1 fonts into a pure ASCII downloadable format that PPage can send to your laser printer automatically (Uusing the "Download Fonts" function in PPage). There are also extensive font management functions built into MIfont for handling thousands of standard Amiga fonts. There is a review in the Dec/91 issue of Amiga World which, unfortunately, was written before the most current release (1.1c). ALL of the bugs they describe have been fixed. We also have another program (MIoutline) which converts Type 1 outline fonts into PDraw outline fonts. Let me know your setup and I'll tell you if MIfont will help you out. Gary – Mirror Image Prod.
