Mike, et al, WordPerfect Corporation has enjoyed a good working relationship with Commodore Business Machines over the years in developing WordPerfect for the Amiga. However, at WordPerfect Corporation, each product we produce is set up as its own profit center. The revenues from the product must be able to support the resources dedicated to it. When we first started working on the Amiga version we hoped that it would do well and be able to support ongoing improvements. This has not been the case. Though it would be nice to have an upgrade to the Amiga product, the revenues received are not nearly enough to finance a full-fledged development effort. Although WordPerfect Corporation has discontinued development of WordPerfect for the Amiga, we will continue to offer toll-free customer support and hope that the product continues to be beneficial to Amiga users. —WordPerfect Corporation
