Nope, that's not my logic… I pointed out the illogic of repeating
"WP-Amiga recouped its costs in the first 60 days" as if this were a
blanket of "profit" that somehow explains that WP-Amiga can be developed
and sold forever. Yes, people bought the Amiga version because of the PC
version.
As for corporate responsibility, yes, I agree, they've gone back on their
word. That's bad. In ca company that size, it's hard to point fingers,
and even if you can, what can you do about it? I've seen corporate execs
say "X Y Z" with all good intents. The next day, new financial figures come
out that force them to change their statements. From a marketing
perspective, it doesn't make any sense to present a wishy-washy front,
either. How would the market have responded to statements "Well, we're
thinking about dropping the Amiga product line because the sales have been
really poor and because the company's going through a general
belt-tightening."?
"As many platforms as profitable", their ads should read.
