You might wish to read the articles I listed earlier on this thread for the proposition that there are a number of real Marxist/Feminists, inldcuing law professors Catherine MacKinnon, of Harvard and Leslie Bender of Syarcuse. If Anhita Hill has not become one of them she has certainly given a good imitation. It is true that the spectre of McCarthyism was present at the Thomas hearings. Not, however, at the right hand of the conservatives, but, as depicted in one United Features poitical cartoon, at the left hand of a senator with a striking resemblence to our liberal friend from Connecticut. As for your asserton that I am a "right-wing fanatic" I guess I can dismiss that out of hand given how little you know of me. The bottom line is that those senators (probably Simon and Metzenbaum) who set up and participated in the ambush and lynching of Judge Thomas, while probably not Marxist/Feminists themselves, were certainly acting in their interest by permiting the perversion of the process to go forward in search of a predefined outcome rather than truth. For my purposes, Anita Hill was a Liar. She knew she was lying and she participated in a conspiracy to affect the outcome of the Thomas hearings knowing she was lying. To me those are actions that are consistent with the Marxist/Feminist movement. Whether you agree with me or not will not change my mind any more than my opinions will change yours. Moreover, whether or not the accusation is in style or not is irrelevant, except as a diversion from the argument. In other words, who cares? Bill
