Tax Cut Madness
EPE> You talk a good story but what is the answer? I am not in favor of
giving government more control over people's lives.
That isn't the question. The question is whether it is the federal
government that shoves its snout into our lives, or local government. I
believe the federalistas have pretty much done as much damage as we should
have to put up with.
It's time for local people, through their immediate elected officials, to
get the power back that they once enjoyed; the power (for instance) to
outlaw loitering again. The power to order our lives, and our communities
as we see fit, once again, without his highness the honorable William
Justice Brennan sticking his big, fat, Washington nose into our communities
and ordering us to allow pornography to be sold on any street corner the
merchants of sleaze wish to sell it.
EPE> stay. The problem with you conservatives (or republicans) is that you
have no faith the the American public. While I sure do not agree with
particular elections, I believe that eventually the bad mistakes will
correct themselves.
The problem with you liberals is that you don't understand the insidious
power of money in political elections today.
