Steve: I was going to ask the same question. But according to what I read in the ad, "The Ambassador" is not just a new version of CrossDos, but an entirely new product. For those interested, here are the features: The Ambassador improves file transfer capability for both the Bridgeboard and the Amiga in a transparent fashion. The Ambassador is 100% software. No additional hardware to buy or install. From the BridgeBoard: o Directly access the Amiga-connected floppy drives as MS-DOS drives from within most MS-DOS programs. o Receive up to a 100 times speed increase when using our version of the PC virtual hard drive partitions. From the Amiga: o Access MS-DOS formatted media using the same features as our five star rated product "CrossDos". o Access Bridgeboard created virtual hard drive partitions (such as MakeAB and JLink files). Now if the claimed 100 times speed increase is indeed true, that to me would be worth the $79.95 asking price! But to be able to use the Amiga drives from MS-DOS as PC drives would be a big plus, as well as being able to access PC files from the Amiga side. Sounds like a nice product, and it does say that an upgrade is available to CrossDOS owners so I will be calling them first thing Monday morning 8^) John – K7KB (via Whap!)
