Any program that needs a stack of 100,000 has something wrong with it,
IMHO. Geez!
That's one of my pet peeves on the Amiga. The default Amiga runs a stack
of 4000. Many programs just ignore that and 'require' higher stacks,
however, therefore crashing the machine when run by an unsuspecting user. I
usually run from the CLI and remember (years ago) crashing frequently with
many programs. Finally I got smart and just upped my system stack and many
problems disappeared. (I wonder how many other Amiga users just got fed up
with their machine crashing all the time?)
Nowadays there doesn't seem to be as much a problem. Programmers must have
finally learned to keep their data in their own stacks, rather than
depending on the system stack being big enough. Or maybe it's just my
50,000 stack size helping!
