jp- Yes, indeed. Born and mostly raised here. I went to Omni, and was told that they'd not received their shipments of ProWrite 3.2. I did try FinalCopy, and had mixed feelings. It might be great with a hard drive, but you better have three drives if you're going to run it from floppies. The program has the annoying habit of demanding certain disks back in a _particular_ drive, going totally against Amiga standards. I made the mistake of popping out the program disk and putting in their FCData disk, and was condemned forever after (until reboot, actually) to swapping disks from that particular drive, even though the other floppy might have been empty. ARRRGH! Regarding Omni, they've sure come a long way since when I first met Larry Owens. He was bringing suitcases of software to user group meetings, and he had at least one copy of _EVERY_ commercial Amiga program in that suitcase. Then he ran Omni from his living room, until it got too big even for that. They're apparently still making good money, but the place still has an unfortunately patchwork feel to it. (sigh) I did get to see my first CDTV, though. Kinda nifty, and the CD caddy really isn't all _that_ bad, but I'm still not sure I get the point. 🙂 ————————————————————TL———-
