arizona rockhounding
As often happens in my work, I have an unexpected call to Phoenix, Arizona,
later this week. There's a decent chance that I may have time to do some quick
collecting in the area. Various texts describe zeolite localities around
Horseshoe Dam, which appears not far from Phoenix. Does anyone know anything
about this locality? Is it accessible, worthwhile, safe, productive, etc.?
Can anyone recommend any other mineral collecting localities in the Phoenix
area?
