David, It would be a very interesting discussion to try and determine a "Right Way" to do anything! <g> Most people I know of accept a reasonable attempt. I see your point! My frame of reference was limited to interfacing with printers and plotters through the standard serial and parallel devices and thought you were refering to the interface language differences. BTW, The EEs around here love to giggle and correct me when I use a trade name for a fuse company in writing about a motherboard interface. <g> What do you think of Layer merge and text access through the Release 12 ADI spec?
