Display list redraws will always be faster than REGENs (under AutoCAD,
that is). What your question boils down to is "On what speed system will
REGENs and DL Redraws be perceived as being instantaneous?"
My answer would be: On a 200 MHz 586 with a 5ms hard disk (with 512 MB
hardware disk cache) attached directly to the CPU.
In other words, a long time from now.
