There is a lot of tertiary outcrop here in western Canada, much of it
fossiliferous, including fairly diverse mammalian faunas (Paleocene, Oligocene,
Miocene), plants and some insects. If any of your members are interested in
this area, I can probably scrounge up some references for further reading.
