I have just received and loaded IBeM by Mark Tomlinson on my A3000. I am using it with CrossDos and have just managed to get the hard drive parititin recognized, with considerable trial and error time. Now the IBM side won't read the drive. It sees it and will format it, but the size is about a factor of 3 below what the size is in amiga land (14Mb instead of 40). I wonder if the data I got on the drive from Computability (no specs or information of any sort shipped with the drive) is erroneous. It is a 105Mb Quantium drive with three partitions, one of which is 40 Mb, named IBMC. I used the "reserved" file system. HDToolbox set the cylinders for me. I checked it and used the numbers to set the mountlist entry. Maybe the blocks per track is off. IBMC: Device = scsi.device Unit = 5 Flags = 0 Surfaces = 4 BlocksPerTrack = 42 Reserved = 1 LowCyl = 1265 ; HighCyl = 2096 FileSystem = L:MSDOSFilesystem DosType = 0 # [In case anyone saw my previous question in the User forum, my main problem at that stage was that the mountlist entry for the device was scsidev.device, and it wanted scsi.device.] I would appreciate any advice on how to get this baby cooking. Thanks, Neill
