networking cdrom
I haven't had any problems with and CDROM running on a network. Once it's
installed and mapped to a drive, other stations that can see that drive
have access. As for whether the app is multiuser or not is another
question. I've installed several CDROMs with the tax info packages from
Matthew Bender and Research Institute of America for clients on Novell
networks and used Map Assist to give access from any workstation. With MB
the software installs on your harddisk and accesses information on the
CDROM so it is possible to tweak it for multiple access. With RIA the
access software resides on the CDROM and you specifically have to purchase
a multiuser version.
