#AAP HELP

I give up. I've been through the AAP manuals and the tutorials and I still
don't get it. I'm pretty good at some of the AAP features but the CEL and
TRACE departments remain tierra incognita.
I'd like to be able to have an "onion skin" type overlay upon which I could
draw a line over a flic frame — while viewing both the overlay and the
flic frame, — apply it to the frame, then adjust the line (in length and
position) and repeat the process. My objective is to show a line growing in
length on an object as it moves in the flic.
Is this possible in AAP?
