I just didn't feel comfortable ordering from them. My conversation was basically: 'Do you take VISA?' "Yes, send us a check. It'll take a few weeks." Maybe I should have tried harder, but this was LONG distance in the middle of the business day, I couldn't afford to spend time on the phone. Thanks, Erik Flom P.S. What is the straight poop on these drives? Are they cannibalized from systems (are the Commodore Thought Police gonna' break down my doors), or can dealers actually order them for existing (older) systems? I tried to find one locally and got nothing but the runaround. Then I call a few places, most say no, one guy says "Yeah, sure we got 'em!" This really does NOT help to promote the platform. The drives seem to work fine (esp with the HDFIX.LHA patch), and there IS NO REASON Commodore should delay shipping these any longer (especially if they come in 'some new systems'). The HD Floppy drive will be invaluable in my job as an independent Videographer. I just thinks its about time they are becoming avalable.
