1 -DOS is still the most widely used OS out there. To ignore it is not prudent, perhaps even silly when talking about the machinery and software that is out there. Ask me again next year. :^) 2 – I never ignore the competition. These machines you're talking about don't usually have 24-bit gfx, in fact they *usually* have 256 color gfx. Some have 32k color gfx, IBM is promoting 32k or 64k as the Newest Best Thing right _now_. The Amiga 4k and 1.2k have 262k color systems – they look better, hands down. We have several enhanced color cards, and they do NOT look as good. Good is determined by which looks better side by side, don't be silly. 3 – see #1 4 – Win32 and WinNT are vaporware. Heck, if you want to talk about vapor we can say anything. Stick to what is real. 5 – IDE sucks. If it's faster on the IBM, again, you have only the (sorry) architecture to blame. A VW bug doesn't fit a 12-cylinder Jag engine, either, but that doesn't mean that the VW runs better with it's four cylinder. I mentioned the IDE as being the 4ks' achilles heel, I think – you DID read my message??? 6 – yep, AmigaDOS is better. :^) 7 – I'd be sorry too, if I were you.
