Jerry,
I have been using The Editizer from TAO, Inc. (Rolla, MO – 800/264-1121 or
314/364-4925) since early 1992; mine was one of their first units (maybe
THE first), and version 1.0 of the software. It was just OK. Over the
course of the year, TAO has upgraded the software continuously (for free,
so far), and provided outstanding support to me. I am now using the current
release (version 1.92) of the software, and it is excellent. It provides
complete A/B roll editing control and control of the Toaster (and internal
DPS TBC II cards, too, if you use them). The cost of the system was about
$1,600 when I got it, but I think it is now something around $2,500. It
requires an IBM compatible PC (at least a 386SX, 12 MHz) and MS Windows
3.1. I highly recommend it.
