[Continued] Autodesk implying that there's that kind of juicy fruit just waiting for the picking is extremely deceptive to people thinking about making the huge investment necessary to try to put out professional quality work. I understand the multimedia group is under increasing pressure to justify its existence, and has thus been attempting to influence dealers to sell more product. And the dealers came back–it's not a saleable product. Now we have this stopgap patch they're expecting us to pay for, and what are we supposed to do–not stay current? That's a dog that'll come up and bite you later. This whole upgrade thing with them is insane. I recently had an acquaintance who found an old serial number disk for Autocad 2 or 3 in a bunch of old junk he bought. Now he owns Autocad 12 and 3DStudio for less than what I paid for 3DStudio. Now where is the sense in this? Sorry to make waves in the mutual admiration society around here, but come on… Roger D.
