BMM2 problems
I have been having intermitent troubles with the BMM2 compiler ever since
upgrading to version 2.04 of AmigaDOS. I just traced part of the problem
down. The SIN and COS functions of MathLib0 will cause a software failure
8000-000b some times. As a result, many programs are now broken. Also,
the Source Level Debuger does not work reliably under 2.04. Programs
frequently either guru, or lock the system.
Also, I am still looking for LONGREAL data types. In many scientific and
engineering problems, six digits precision is NOT satisfactory. I would
also like to see all the speed of the 68040 coprocessor instructions when
doing REAL and LONGREAL math.
These deficientcies have me looking for another compiler. I do not want
to go to C, as I program in Ada profesionaly. My preference would be an
Ada compiler for the Amiga. As a second best, a WORKING modula2 compiler
would be acceptable.
