Pat, I am not sure, since I haven't seen the source code to the DJ driver, but since the 500C used yellow/magenta/cyan (PCC_YMC) to get all the colors, the printer driver was built with this in mind. It should be possible to build a driver that uses yellow/magenta/cyan/black(PCC_YMCB), since this too is a legitimate color class for the printer driver. Just checked the includes closer, and there is another category called PCC_YMC_BW which is most likely the color class used in the DJ – this class means yellow/magenta/cyan OR black&white. The Amiga does appear to be too small a market for HP, or most any other printer manufacturer, to make Amiga drivers. You will most likely have to wait for CBM to make a new driver. 73, Kelly
