the only advantage of the atvista is its higher ntsc 32 bit color level. if your recording to video real time then i am assuming your using a fli or flc file. so your limited to 256 color anyway, so the atvista would not really give you any increase in video performance. in fact i don't think a driver is available for the atvista for animator pro. so the targa, mediator , or other device is the way to go real time. i personaly use the videologic mediator for real time fli/flc recording when frame by frame recording is not required. if you can i would suggest getting a diaquest controller and a frame accurate deck (bvu-950 3/4 or better yet a betacam sp ) the difference in the rez is like night and day. sherwood – sherwood animations
