Pardon me for jumping in, but the best resolution you can get on tape is, I
believe, 400 lines. What you're probably concerned with is the fact that
real time is 256 colors. You will find that more colors (16 million, or so)
produce images that 'appear' to have better resolution. I don't know of any
software for a PC that does real time real color, so yes, I think you will
have to get a video contoller and a frame accurate recording device along
with a graphics card that does at least 24 bit color.
Of course, this means that you will need to make your movies primarily with
3DS since AAPro only does 256 color.
