Upgrade
I understand what agravates you. Part of the problem is timing. As soon
as we announce a new version to customers, it is like announcing it to the
world. Because we normally want to run out of stock on a product weeks
before the new version comes out, we usually have a vast number of the new
product on backorder before it ever comes out. Therefore, when it does
finally come out we have a tremendous pressure to get the orders out and to
handle the customer upgrades as well.
Anyway, the long and the short of the story is that we are trying to get a
process in place to let us serve customer upgrades faster, which is what
the Auto-Upgrade plan is all about. On its maiden voyage we have simply
had a few problems, most of them related to overwhelming demand!
Please bear with us as we get these things straightened out.
