Hi. A reply to your old message… I went down this same road… Short of dropping a few hundred for and ethernet card for the amiga, the best solution I have found is a shareware package called "Twin". It lets you use a null modem cable between the PC and Amiga and do bidirectional file transfers between 'em (plus DIR, etc) It's reasonably fast and believe me, this beats the hell out of transferring a few hundred image frames Amiga->PC by floppy!! (I was doing this to take Toaster IFF image files over to the PC for conversion to TGA and animation as a ".FLI" sequence — mainly for test runs of animations…) The TWIN programs come in two pieces – a PC version and a Amiga version. I THINK the Amiga version is in Amiga User+. I can't remember where the heck the PC version is — try IBM File Finder and search for "TNXB11.*"??? The Amiga file is TNXB11.LZH, I thimk… There are also some Amiga utils that let you read/write PC MS-DOS diskettes… One of them lets you use FD0 as an MSDOS drive (MD0). I THINK I found 'em in AmigaTech+. I hear that the next AmigaDOS release will include CrossDos — a good example of a manufacture actually being non-myopic about the PC world… Hope this is of SOME help! -Luke
