I just had to cough up an extra $50 for 4MB RAM for a 386-40 system we
just purchased, so the tariff that the US has imposed is being passed on
to the consumer.
I just called Memory World and they are selling 1x4x80ns ZIPs for $19.95.
This is up $3/chip from 4 months ago, and they said that they were unsure
if the RAM chips were going to go up further.
(OUCH! I guess I'm, going to have to get some more RAM NOW.)
Let's hear it for protectionism! It's what made America great!
