Ok, good question. Thanks for the opportunity to address it.
Imagemaster is superb at image manipulation. As I mentioned, it can
outperform photoshop in many ways.
Photoshop is, however, highly directed at prepress operations, that is,
color separations and discrete operations upon color-separated materials.
We do very little of that, instead we're very heavy on image manipulations
such as special F/x: rippling, morphing… work like satellite image
processing… that kind of thing.
Photoshop is also a lot more polished, as the Mac OS provided a great set
of guidelines and tools for the UI when they initially designed it, while
the Amiga only recently obtained anything even remotely similar at the OS
level.
This latter item we will address shortly; the former, color sep
operations, we'll probably keep away from for the largest part.
That's a pretty complete answer to your specific question: "Where do we
NOT outperform PhotoShop."
