I also have a few 928 movie cards and when I first installed them, I could not get the S3 928 vibrant driver to give me 65535 colours, (the screen just kept going green and blank!!), but I found a soloution to this quite by accident, after I had installed all of my windows drivers for the board and used it within windows, I could access it correctly via the S3 928. Un-fortunatly when I reset my machine and go streight back into 3ds I get a blank green screen, but if I go into windws first, it seems to work fine an I get hi-colour in the materials editor and 3d editor.
