Harry: Are you looking for a platform to develop for? Perhaps I can help clarify a couple of things. First, all CDROM is interactive. The nature of the content and the interactivity is defined – within wide limits – by the developer. Some CDROM flavors live in their own special environments. The label "CD-I" is a trademark of Philips Consumer Electronics, not a generic description of some new capability of the medium. CD-I, VIS and Photo-CD have their own environments. In addition, VIS (when available) will play on a standard MPC (multimedia pc). Photo-CD will play on a wide variety of environments, as long as you have a compatible disc drive. Bias control: I am a notorious non-fan of CD-I. VIS seems a little better because of its play-ability in a pc environment also. But both have generated controversy over ultimate market acceptance (and a few other fundamental issues). My pick in this arena is Photo-CD. Kodak has done a lot of things right, and if this paradigm will work at all, Kodak will probably make it happen. Rich Bowers
