Lily, Martina, Jerry, Laurie, et al I'm not really back – just dropping in to say 'Hi!'. I've been monitoring the forum while I've been inactive, and it certainly has grown since I last actively participated <g>. I'll try to get back into DINO on a regular basis sometime – sure do miss the folks around here. In the meantime, I was reading Herodotus' _The Histories_ the other day, when I came across the following: "Scythia has few really remarkable features, except its rivers, which are more numerous, and bigger, than anywhere else in the world. There is, however, one other interesting thing besides the rivers and the vast extent of the plains – a footprint left by Heracles. The natives show this to visitors on a rock by the river Tyras. It is like a man's footprint, but it is three feet long." [Book IV, ~40-50]. One wonders if that footprint of Heracles (or Hercules, if you prefer the Roman form of the name) was actually an exposed dinosaur footprint? Something to speculate on, mayhap. Of course, it's almost certainly disappeared now (Herodotus lived ~400 B.C.E.). Cheers, SpencerC
