George, Try using serial port settings of 8 data bits, No Parity, and 1 stop bit along with CompuServe-B protocol. The manual is in error when it says to use 7E1 serial settings. When you sign on, the User ID: prompt may or may not be garbled. If it is, just enter your User ID and hit return. Subsequent lines should be fine. Also, Amigaterm will appear to download if the destination disk is write protected or full, but, of course, you won't have anything to show for it. When Compuserve prompts you for "Filename for your computer:," it will help things if you give complete file name, including a volume name. For example, let's say that you format a new floppy disk and use the Workbench to rename it to "DL" (minus the quotes, of course.) Then if you wanted to download a file named myfile.lzh, when CompuServe asks you for the filename for your computer, you would answer: DL:myfile.lzh Hope this helps, 8) David
