Try using serial port settings of 8 data bits, No Parity, and 1 stop bit
along with CompuServe-B protocol. The manual is in error when it says to
use 7E1 serial settings. When you sign on, the User ID: prompt may or may
not be garbled. If it is, just enter your User ID and hit return.
Subsequent lines should be fine.
Also, Amigaterm will appear to download if the destination disk is write
protected or full, but, of course, you won't have anything to show for it.
When Compuserve prompts you for "Filename for your computer:," it will
help things if you give complete file name, including a volume name. For
example, let's say that you format a new floppy disk and use the Workbench
to rename it to "DL" (minus the quotes, of course.) Then if you wanted to
download a file named myfile.lzh, when CompuServe asks you for the
filename for your computer, you would answer:
DL:myfile.lzh
